Mock Congressional Hearing

Recently hundreds attended a mock Congressional hearing answering the question, “Does US Policy in Israel and Palestine Uphold our Values?” in Chicago.  The Hearing examined U.S. foreign policy, Israeli treatment of Palestinians, and their relationship to fundamental American values and interests.  The Chicago Hearing’s Organizing Committee will publish a report in June that states our findings, conclusions and recommendations and in the coming months will discuss our findings, conclusions and recommendations with members of the media and elected officials.

Meeting with a Member of Congress or staff

"Meeting with a Member of Congress or staff

Meeting with a Member of Congress is the most powerful way you can communicate with them. It shows that you are committed and together enough to organize the meeting, and in-person communication is more powerful than mail/fax/email.

The most important thing to remember is to be respectful but not star struck. These people work for you. You are important to them, because you are a voter, and/or because you have the capacity to influence other voters. They are responsible for hearing you out."
