SodaStream manufactures and distributes home carbonating devices and flavorings for soft drinks. Its products are sold in retail stores like Macy’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, Bloomingdale’s, and Target. The company’s main production site is in Mishor Edomin Industrial Zone, connected to an Israeli settlement in Jerusalem. SodaStream conceals the fact that its products are manufactured in an illegal Israeli settlement by using ‘Made in Israel’ labels. As an Israeli settlement manufacturer, it exploits Palestinian land, resources and labor.

While SodaStream claims to be environmentally friendly, the reality is that the company is complicit in the environmental destruction Israel's military occupation has brought to Palestine. Its support for environmental causes is “greenwashing” the occupation. SodaStream attempts to clean up its image but is a company engaged in Israel's violations of Palestinian rights.
