No Intervention Syria

No Intervention Syria

While we unequivocally condemn any use of chemical weapons along with continued indiscriminate killing of civilians and other violations of international humanitarian law, military strikes are not the answer.”

U.S. military action will only escalate the fighting, increase the suffering, and delay the necessary diplomatic / political solution, the only thing that can stop the civil war.

We’ve heard it before: A rush to military action with so called certain proof…

  • The reality is different. There is no proof, but lots of doubts, including Turkish security forces seizing sarin gas from al-Qaida-linked al-Nusra Front units heading into Syria.
  • We call upon the President to not break international law but to instead support it. Call for a 2nd UN weapons inspection team to determine who was responsible for the attack and bring the perpetrators to justice at the International Criminal Court.
  • Move urgently towards a ceasefire and arms embargo in Syria. Push all parties to stop arming and funding the Syrian regime and the opposition.

Join us on 9/5 and also contact the President, your Congressman and Senators. Tell them no U.S. military intervention and instead redouble diplomatic efforts.
