RI Jobs with Justice, UNITE, Ocean State action and others held a solidarity rally for the workers at the Radison Hotel. They are trying to unionize, but management is not recognizing their cards. JP Morgan Chase, which got lots of bail out money, is a lein holder at the hotel. It also is doing lots of foreclosures in Providence. The hotel also got lots of state and city subsidy for a major rehab. The rally connected the dots, insisting that projects that get lots of subsidy should respect the union and the workers.
