DOVER, NEW HAMPSHIRE --- Dozens of ceramic finger puppets, joined by a few dozen more humans, gathered at the Dover Friends Meeting House on December 4 to celebrate the birthday of Jane Kauffman, of Durham.

“It was a great way to honor Jane, a great artist and a dedicated peace activist,” said Ginna Schonwald, of Barrington, who helped organized the program.

The party included a skit in which the puppets searched for their creator and organized a demonstration calling for feet.   The event was a fundraiser for the New Hampshire Program of the AFSC.
