Nurallah

Sadly, Mrs. Nurallah and her unborn child died the next morning while at the hospital. The only survivorfrom the home was the four-year-old Zarqawi. That same day, a senior Afghanofficial visited Mrs. Nurallah’s father-in-law, Mohammed, and handed him $800.

Months later, reporters interviewed Mohammed. The Nurallah’s home was still there and covered in bullet holes. The baby’s cradle was still hanging from the ceiling. Mohammed told reporters “If you spent some time here, you would see that we are not the kind of people who would get involved with the Taliban…. Anyway, what was the fault of the babies?”
