Aziz

Afghan man

After 33 days in Tor Jail, Aziz* was transferred to the larger jail, where he was held for 2.5 years. The owner of the house was held almost as long. Aziz was recently released and said:

“At my release an American colonel apologized to me. He said that they had concluded that I was innocent and that I had worked for the good of Afghanistan. He said that after 2.5 years! They gave me a bottle of perfume, but they did not return my possessions… At the time I didn't say anything, I just wanted to leave. But they should give it back…”
