The American Friends Service Committee Peace Education program seeks to reduce violence and increase the peace among youth and local communities throughout Greater  Los Angeles. Through our program's workshops for students and teachers, advocacy campaigns, speaker series and events, we are creating a model of a nonviolent community.

The Peace Education Program also works in partnership with other local area groups and organizations to organize events and actions that call attention to the human and economic costs of war and promote diplomatic solutions to the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel/Palestine and other parts of the world.

If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact us.  We are always looking for new supporters, volunteers and interns!
