Girl holding a banner about the cost of war

A young protester shares her ideas about how war dollars should be spent during a vigil to end the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars in Portland, OR.

The American Friends Service Committee has championed the cause of peace and equality in the Pacific Northwest for 70 years. Our vital programs work to end war, promote racial justice, support Native American rights and culture, develop immigrant leaders and encourage young people to embrace alternatives to violence and militarism.

AFSC programs build the capacity in our community to create change and empower people most affected by violence and injustice to build a just and peaceful society.
