In Haiti, AFSC works with the St. Charles Borromee School to train teachers in mediation and conflict transformation skills.  During the 2010 earthquake, 1,300 schools in Haiti collapsed, making it impossible for many children to get an education. In the past, some Haitian schools have had a strong culture of violence which AFSC believes we can help transform into a culture of peace.
