Meeting/Church Liaison organizing calls
Join us each month as we discuss how your congregation can engage in the work of AFSC. These monthly calls are an opportunity to learn from AFSC staff about specific focus issues and campaigns, and hear ideas of how to get involved. Each one is also an opportunity to speak with other Quakers from the around the country about strategies for how to engage in collective social change work.
Israel, Palestine and economic activism
Join us in mid-January for a call with Quaker organizer, Tony Bing, and young Friend and AFSC Middle East intern, Tory Smith, to learn more about how your meeting can help bring lasting peace with justice in Israel and Palestine. Both Tony and Tory are members of the Quaker Palestine Israel Network, a new coalition of Quakers around the country working together to pressure the Israeli military to put an end to the illegal occupation of Palestinian territories. Check back for more information on the exact date and time to come.
In the coming months:
- Connecting with your local community
- Healing justice and prison reform
- Shared Security and the future of US foreign policy
- Becoming an ally for immigrants' rights
