Vigil for the Rights of Immigrants

Monday, June 25, 2012 - 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Today the US Supreme Court declared that several sections of Arizona's harsh anti-immigrant law were pre-empted by federal law and therefore could not be enforced.  However, by unanimous vote they upheld the "Show Us Your Papers" provision of Arizona's law, opening up the door for massive raical and ethnic profliling.  Advocates for the rights of immigrants will hold a vigil at the State House to express ongoing concern and commitment.
