Tom Hayden, "Revolution, Reform, and Pathways to Social Change"

Tuesday, February 8, 2011 - 6:00pm

Leading anti-war advocate and political activist Tom Hayden will discuss the debate over the best way to pursue social change. He argues that social change begins at the invisible margins, gives rise to social movements, and then inevitably becomes involved in mainstream politics. Hayden is the founder and director of the Peace and Justice Resource Center, a non-profit advocacy and consulting center dedicated to studying the wars in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq, the U.S. wars on drugs and gangs, and U.S. military responses to nationalism and poverty.
