Sunday, November 28, 2010 - 10:00am

Tapped the Movie - includes exerpts from this 2009 documentary film about Nestle, bottled water, and the struggle of local activists to stop privatization of groundwater in Main. The film examines the role of the bottled water industry and its effects on our health, climate change, pollution, and our reliance on oil. From the production of plastic, to the ocean in which so many bottles wind up, this film follows the path of the bottled water industry into the communities that are caught at the intersection of big business and the public right to water, including Maine communities..

Tapped is directed by Stephanie Soechtig and brought to you by the same people who made "Who Killed the Electric Car?" and "I.O.U.S.A."

Deb Donovan will facilitate.
