Pull the pork from the Pentagon
There is a National Day of Action to stop the sequester and call for cuts to Pentagon spending to fund our communities. AFSC-SENE is organizing a short rally at the State House on Wednesday Feb. 27 at 3:30 pm to call attention to the devastating impact on the state budget that the sequester would have. Smart cuts, especially to the bloated Pentagon budget, and closing tax loopholes that benefit the big corporations and their CEOs would go a long way to fixing the problem without hurting state budgets.
