Planning for Resilience: ReSources of Community in a Time of Crisis

Tuesday, February 21, 2012 - 7:00pm

In a time of neighborhood emergency, would you know how to…

Optimize Your Health and Safety?
Find and Protect Your Loved Ones?
Collaborate with Public and Private Recovery Resources?
Share Your Expertise and Physical Assets?
Recover with Minimal Losses to Health, Life, Economy?

This conversation about Emergency Preparedness will explore the potential alignments between the Transitions’ vision for restoring local patterns of simplicity and connection and the wisdom of professionals in health and safety fields who are training individuals and organizations in Emergency Preparedness.
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of Emergency Preparedness priorities and training resources available, and contribute to shaping further initiatives in Rogers Park which would express Transition Towns’ values of relocalizing and reskilling.
Rev. Jacki Belile, CEC, founder of Living Well Ministries, is a personal and organizational coach and member of Transition Rogers Park.  She will be sharing resources and facilitating this discussion based on lessons and questions she has gleaned from recent contract work with Emergency Preparedness teams committed to neighborhood outreach.
