Peacemaking in the U S  has been met with both optimism and disappointment.  Our energy and hope have been placed in elected officials, and they have disappointed us.  We must look to each other for  peace in our time.

This one-day workshop is designed to help build a renewed sense of community, deeper connections with each other,  a shared vision and an action plan for nonviolent peacemaking in this time and place.

Our goal is to translate our collective ideas into nonviolent, coordinated action.  We will seek nonviolent strategies and approaches toward addressing the war in Afghanistan.

The workshop will be facilitated by American Friends Service Committee staff members.
