No More Silence: A Call for Remembrance and Resolve
On the one year anniversary of Sandy Hook, a brief program will help us remember that our nation was awakened to gun violence one year ago and we will remember all those who have lost their lives to gun violence and resolve to end our nations silence on gun violence. The program will include brief speeches, a children's bell choir and refreshments and craft making following the program. This will be a non-political, child friendly event for everyone.
Program so far..Rev Cheryl Thomas will read a prepared statement from Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and Calvetta Berry of Mothers Against Violence will speak about how gun violence affects our community every single day. The Ruby Van Meter bell choir has been invited to participate and is seeking funding for transport.
