Makram Haluani is Professor Emeritus of Political Science and International Relations, in the Department of Economics and Business Administration, Simon Bolivar University, Venezuela. He is currently a visiting Fulbright Scholar at the University of Connecticut. Professor Haluani has published three books and numerous articles on topics relating to domestic and international politics in the Americas.
