Legislative Visits Training

Saturday, January 21, 2012 - 10:00am

Coloradans For Immigrant Rights, a project of AFSC, offers a "Bringing the People to the Policy" Legislative Visits Training at AFSC's office in Denver. Come practice SUCCESSFUL & fruitful meetings with your legislators! Take some time to practice your talking points among friends!

Are you hoping to visit with your legislator about immigrant justice this legislative session? Speaking with your policy makers can take a little practice! Get some feedback, offer some advice to others!  This year make YOUR voice heard at the Capitol in support of immigrant rights. Articulate why immigrant rights matter to you and learn how to engage legislators to join us. We’ll provide snacks and child care! We’ll get you up to speed on upcoming legislation! And we’ll connect you with other people in YOUR district so you can visit as a team!

Come be a part of using YOUR voice and privilege for immigrant rights! PLEASE RSVP to sfichtel@afsc.org with your address so we can figure out who your representatives are! Or call 303.623.3464. Also, please let us know if you will need child care.
