Join us for this Kick-off Performance at The Writers Place!
Area youth from the “If I Could Change the World…” Spoken Word Project and American Friends Service Committee interns and other spoken word artists will be touring Kansas City venues performing spoken word from late March to June 2014.
AFSC thanks the following schools and youth programs for working with us on this project: Barstow School, DeLaSalle High School, Center for Alternative Instructional Resources – Grandview, GreenWorks, KC Academy, Paseo Academy, Passages / KC Antiviolence Project, Second Baptist Church Youth Group, Synergy Services Youth Resiliency Center, Unity of Overland Park Youth Group and ReachKCK Youth Group.
Please help encourage the youth of Kansas City to use their creativity
to speak their peace.

- April 26, Saturday, 12:45 & 1:20pm at the Troost Festival, 3100 block of Troost Ave., KCMO
- June 6, Friday, 6:00 to 9:00pm during Visions of Peace at the Crossroads Festival, tentatively 18th/Baltimore, KCMO

“Open Mic” time may be available for youth to perform “change the world” themed spoken word pieces.
