Human Rights Issues in Sudan

To recognize Human Rights day, Organize the Hope (AFSC Peace Fellows) is sponsoring a presentation by Iowa United Nations Association Executive Director, Yashar Vasef.

Mr. Vasef will discuss the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, along with the issues facing the people of Sudan and the upcoming election for possible secession of South Sudan.

Insight will be shared by Judy James and Omer Ali, Central College students who are originally from Sudan.

Sudanese refreshments will be served. It’s free to everyone and there will be a Fair Trade gift for the first 20 people!
