Human Rights Day will be celebrated in RI with a rally focused on the rights of immigrants and workers - and of all people to basic security and human dignity. We will gather at 4pm outside the U.S. District Court House (across from Kennedy Plaza on Exchange St) in Providence. We will summarize the Declaration of Human Rights, with speakers addressing how people in RI are working to make this vision a reality in Rhode Island. After the vigil we will go in the building to call on Senator Reed to put his efforts into passing fair, just comprehensive immigration reform and the Dream Act. We will then march over to Senator Whitehouse's office to deliver the same request.
Bring candles if you like. There will be some candles there and some posters.
