Thursday, July 15, 2010 - 6:45pm

Join us for a film and discussion of Food Inc. http://www.foodincmovie.com/

You’ll never look at dinner the same way again.

This is the second film in the “Examining Modern Life” series, sponsored by the American Friends Service Committee, concerning the topic of U.S. corporate farming (a.k.a. Big-Ag).

Food, Inc. exposes America's industrialized food system and its effect on our environment, health, economy and workers' rights. This documentary is billed as doing for the supermarket what Jaws did for the beach. Come prepared to learn the truth about where your favorite foods come from and what effect they’re having on all of our lives. (91 minutes in length; rated PG)

This film viewing is free and open to the public. Bring a friend and join us. Snacks will be provided.
