Julia Butterfly Hill lived in a 1500-year-old California Redwood tree for 738 days to prevent corporate loggers from cutting it down. Her bold and creative action, from December 10, 1997 to December 18, 1999, inspired a new generation of nonviolent activists. This film tells her story. The Culture of Peace and Nonviolence film series is sponsored by Pace e Bene Nonviolence Service, AFSC, Concord UU Church, Temple Beth Jacob, NH Peace Action, and UCC Peace with Justice Advocates. Free to all.
