"Democracy for Sale?" - a talk by Daniel Weeks

"Africa Dispatch: The Continuing Struggle for Democratic Equality in South Africa and the United States"

Daniel Weeks is past President of Americans for Campaign Reform which gives him an interesting perspective on the development of democracy in South Africa, where he currently lives.  He is currently launching the Money and Politics Project in South Africa, to support transparency and accountability.  Dan has witten on poverty, politics, and race in South Africa and the USA for publications including the Concord Monitor, NH Union Leader, and NY Times.  His presentation is free and open to the public.  It is sponsored by AFSC, NH Peace Action, and the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire.
