Des Moines Valley Friends Meeting
4211 Grand Avenue (parking lot off 42nd Street), Des Moines

Katie Huerter, AFSC-Iowa’s Middle East Associate, returns from Palestine encouraged by the hope she encountered in visiting with Palestinian youth. “I am inspired by the strength, the courage, and the resilience I experienced when I was among them. I am driven more than ever to  share their stories with Iowa youth and all people who care about supporting a future for Palestinian youth wherein freedom of movement is assured; wherein there is no blockade, no siege on Gaza, and education and employment opportunities exist.”

Katie will be sharing the stories from inside Palestine and the stories of worldwide resistance to the occupation—through the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign and the growing US Campaign to end US economic and military support to Israel.

Please join us at DM Valley Friends Meeting.
