The Hiroshima Declaration on the Abolition of Nuclear Weapons

At the culmination of the 11th Nobel Peace Laureates Summit a group of attendees met and agreed on this statement. It was read by Jody Williams in a well attended ceremony in the Hiroshima Peace Park. Other Nobel Laureates, and Hiroshima Mayor Akiba addressed the gathering.

Signers include the American Friends Service Committee, Mikhail Gorbachev, Mairead Corrigan Maguire, the Dalai Lama, Shirin Ebadi, F. W. de Klerk, Jody Williams, the International Peace Bureau, and others.
