Development and Impact in Cambodia

This report analyzes general lessons from AFSC’s experience of setting up community fisheries.  The report analyzes:

  • the sources of solidarity in fishing communities,
  • the strengths and limitations of different community organizing strategies,
  • the involvement of women at different stages of the community organizing process, and
  • the connection between community fisheries and rights-based approaches to development.

This report was commissioned by AFSC and the Fisheries Action Coalition Team (FACT).
