Summer Institute

Young participants of the AFSC Chicago Summer Institute
PEACE.HERE..THERE...EVERYWHERE is a new summer YOUTH led institute that lets youth serve their country by serving their community. In response to recent surges in school violence we ask youth to make the connection between war violence and recruitment of youth into such violent institutions. The institute will allow youth to connect with other youth across the city and allow American Friends Service Committee staff to give them exposure to non violent careers and peace building.

Session 1: June 23 – July 11, 2008
Session 2: July 14 – August 1, 2008
