This is the English version of the "Know your Rights" booklet produced by AFSC staff in North Carolina and collaborators for immigrants. It covers rights at home, in the car, at work, and in detention. Most of the information should apply to people across the U.S., but the phone numbers are specific to North Carolina.

The Protect Yourself from Immigration Raids booklet, produced by CASA of Maryland, and distributed by AFSC, is available in English and Spanish. It is important that everyone know their rights when confronted by immigration authorities.

Immigration: Know Your Rights Resources

We’ve been working to organize workshops for immigrant communities in Charlotte and Greensboro about “knowing your rights” in case of immigration raids. We have expanded to include information about Powers of Attorney so that our undocumented neighbors can prepare their affairs in case of detention or deportation.  Below are some of the resources we've used in our workshops.
