We anticipate that after this year's excellent experiences we will have many more requests from groups wishing to participate next year, so contact us soon.

The Intern will work with AFSC staff and volunteers to support Kansas City AFSC peace campaigns and engage youth from after-school, faith, and high school settings in creative peacemaking and social change (e.g. If I Had A Trillion Dollars youth Film Festival and the If I Could Change The World Spoken Word Project). Activities will focus on: increasing activism; promoting understanding of militarism and economic injustice; exposing ways corporations and the 1% control U.S.

Celebrating Women Artists Working for Peace and Justice

Friday, March 8, 2013 - 6:00pm - 10:00pm

Join us at AFSC-SENE's annual dinner to celebrate local women performing artists on International Women's Day!  Food will begin at 6:00pm.  There will be a silent auction.  The performances will begin at 7:30pm.  Performers include Franny Choi, Rachel Miller, Nada Simah, Courtney Smith,  RI Raging Grannies and more!  It will be a fun night of celebrating work for peace and justice.

The Kansas City AFSC is seeking part time paid peace interns to work with AFSC staff and volunteers in support of our peace campaigns. The intern will work eight to ten hours each week between August 2012 and May 2013.
