Speech: In the Footsteps of Yamaguchi Senji: Achieving a Nuclear Free World

Dr. Joseph Gerson*
International Meeting, World Conference Against A- & H- Bombs
Hiroshima, August 4, 2013

Speech - In the Footsteps of Yamaguchi Senji: Achieving a Nuclear Free World - Dr. Joseph Gerson

We have Yamaguchi-sensei, other courageous Hibakusha and Japanese activists to thank for much of the inspiration that in March brought representatives of 127 governments together in Oslo to confront – again – the humanitarian impacts of nuclear weapons. Yamaguchi-sensei and other Hibakusha played the central role of placing the possibility of a nuclear free world on the world’s agenda. I want to dedicate my talk today to his memory.
