AFSC interns organized Paint for Peace in Greensboro, Spring 2010.

As part of its commitment to seeing peace in Afghanistan and the Middle East, AFSC launched the Paint for Peace project. In Greensboro, Guilford College interns from the Center for Principled Problem Solving helped put together four murals for the national project.

Chicago Internships

Positions Available

Internship positions are available in each of our Chicago programs. Interns will work with a challenging and diverse staff, with opportunities to attend planned activities, as well as work on a long-term project. Duration and project focus are negotiated. Small stipends are available for some of the internships; others are on a work-study or volunteer basis.

Internships and volunteer opportunities at AFIS

The American Friends Immigrant Services Program (AFIS), based in Miami, has a number of volunteer opportunities available for energetic individuals throughout the southeast who are passionate about immigration and human rights and who are interested either in assisting in the office or in organizing educational events and activities in their communities. Additionally, AFIS also needs community-minded individuals to serve as volunteers on a number of committees. If you are interested in volunteering, write to LPerez-Reynozo@afsc.org.
