Fiscal Cliff on Trial: Indictment

At the Fiscal Cliff on Trial forum in Kansas City, Mo., an indictment of the "fiscal cliff," its creators, and manipulators for crimes against the well-being of our community and nation was read by "prosecutor" Ira Harritt, program coordinator with the American Friends Service Committee in Kansas City.

The event, organized by AFSC and co-sponsored by  Jobs Now, UMKC Economics Club and National Lawyers Guild, Occupy KC, Move to Amend, and PeaceWorks KC, took place on Saturday, Dec. 1, at the University of Missouri, KCMO.

Ira Harritt, Kansas City Program Coordinator, provided an update on the federal budget debate on KKFI Community Radio's Heartland Labor forum on Thursday, August 11, 2011. In this interview he reviewed what economists and leaders are saying about the recent budget deficit deal and discussed what will really put people back to work and heal our ailing economy.
