Stop abuse of solitary confinement

Please send this email to your governor and state legislators encouraging them to watch our video and support AFSC’s proposals to address the use solitary confinement in U.S. prisons.

Recent exposure in the media has brought the issue of solitary confinement in U.S. prisons to the public’s attention — naming it what it is: torture. With a new administration in Washington and an accompanying desire for change and justice across the country, this is a critical time to raise our voices against torture — not just in the military, but right here in U.S. prisons.
