Eleven years of war in Afghanistan

Eleven years into the war in Afghanistan, we are wondering why ending the longest war in U.S. history hasn't really been part of the public debate surrounding the elections.

The horrific human costs of more than a decade of war include hundreds of thousands of Afghan civilians who have been killed and wounded and 2,000 U.S. personnel killed, with many more wounded.

Join us in breaking the silence over this longest-running war. Write to your local newspaper—tell the editor that now is the time for the U.S. to end the conflict and redirect funds spent on war to human needs at home and in Afghanistan.
